Our rights and responsibilities as community members

Two years ago, our association signed on to accept the rights and responsibilities statement as developed by the Community Associations Institute.

It's certainly worth revisiting today:

Noted our association president at the time,

Crawford Bay is our home - our community. Being part of a community means sharing with our neighbors a common desire to promote harmony and contentment. This goal is best achieved when homeowners, residents and community leaders recognize and share their responsibilities. This entails striking a balance between the best interests of individual owners and those of the community as a whole. With this challenge in mind, the Community Associations Institute (CAI), of which Crawford Bay at Olde Town is a member, has developed a statement of Rights and Responsibilities for Better Communities. At our 2006 Annual Meeting, the Association, voting unanimously, endorsed their adoption, and your Board adopted this statement as official Board policy for Crawford Bay at Olde Towne at its June 12, 2006 meeting.
